System Support Specialist (Full Time)
Position Overview:
The Systems Support Specialist is responsible for providing a consistent, prompt, high-quality level of customer support and must have a strong aptitude for technology and ability/ desire to learn new software. This position will support of all information systems resources including but not limited to computers, networks, telephones, etc. Due to the nature of this position, it may be necessary to be on-call some evenings, weekends and scheduled holidays as part of a rotating on-call support schedule.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with information systems, processes and procedures, and knowledge of current hardware and software troubleshooting techniques
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- Working knowledge of personal computers, printers, other peripheral equipment
- Thorough knowledge of the operation and use of personal computers and their peripheral equipment; Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and must be proficient when working with formulas, macros, and large data sets
- Knowledge of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications (such as Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office 365), and networking. (Remote connectivity, Cisco VPN)
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
- Excellent time management, organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate well through written and verbal means
- Regular office attendance is essential
- Active Directory Experience
Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Tier 1 Technical Support
- Supports implementation of information systems and telecommunications
- Assists with end user support, license tracking, documentation, PC maintenance and repair, upgrades and configurations
- Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Responsible for supporting the integrity of the computer working environment, all computer equipment and applications, cellular and telecommunications systems
- Provides client support and technical issue resolution via email, phone and remote support tools
- Ability to identify and resolve user problems
- Documents all incidents in incident tracking system and manage incidents to closure
- Reviews customer inquiries and questions, acquire all relevant details, troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Ensures documentation is completed on time and filed appropriately.
- Reviews QIR’s and reports issues to management
Audits and Assessments
- Assists and participates in accreditation inspections and internal audits
- Ensures records are maintained for all inspections related to the IT area and assists the management team in follow-up and corrective action in response to inspection citations
Document Management
- Assists in maintaining document management system
- Aids in writing and reviewing, SOPs and training checklists to ensure document standards are met
- Ensures record storage and retention policies are followed
